Best Wolverine Video Game Ever – Logan like he was meant to be

by on Mar.22, 2010, under BOOKS, MOVIES | TELEVISION

Brian of Euphonic Dissonance babbles on about his favorite comic book hero – Wolverine.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is hands down the best Wolverine video game to hit the market EVER. Why? Because it’s so frikkin’ bloody and violent that’s why. That’s the reason Wolverine fans are Wolverine fans. We get a giggle seeing people sliced open with razor sharp pointy things. There is no lack of blood in this game. If you’re squeamish don’t watch the following video!!!!! If you want to see Wolverine plunge his claws through a wall and clean into a guys head then watch the video cause you’re in for a treat.

{If your computer is SUPER FAST you should raise the resolution from 360p to 720p. It looks so much better that way}

I wish the matching movie would have been that friggin’ cool. Well, like the Rolling Stones said, “you can’t always get what you want.” Is Rob Zombie available to do a Wolverine movie? Then I might get my desired effect.

Now….yeah…..that was just a cut scene but there is no limit to the blood spilled via the SNIKTY SNIKT of claws in the game play. There is a move in the game called a quick kill that allows you to do terrible things to your enemies in the style of Wolverine in the comic. For instance ….. you can raise a guy over your head with one hand and gut him with your claws on the other hand ……. repeatedly. Here’s a nice little video showing the Wolvie mayhem in action.

Now ….. if those videos don’t convince you that this video game is worth picking up then I suppose you are one of those Wolverine fans that reads the comics for the love stories. Well, then this isn’t really the game for you … sorry. Everyone else needs to pick this one up. Make sure you get the UNCAGED edition because the other ones aren’t nearly as violent. Just finished playing through it again and I just wish there were more characters to gut. Can we say expansion pack? Maybe when the next movie comes I’ll get that wish. That would be magical.

Hopefully in the next post we’ll have more music for you but until then here’s a link that will take you to our iTunes page. Click it …. it’s pretty.

INSIDE STUDIO – SOUNDGARDEN reunites, Alice in Wonderland and Euphonic Dissonance works on a new song

by on Jan.01, 2010, under BOOKS, MUSIC, TECH MESSIAH, UPDATES

Yes….Brian here to update you on Euphonic Dissonance in the studio and give you progress on the recording of the TECH MESSIAH album but first…..

Soundgarden is Back

Soundgarden announces their getting back together

Soundgarden is getting back together

Yes…. Soundgarden fans can rejoice. I heard that Chris Cornell announced this new years day that Soundgarden will be getting back together after 10 years apart. That’s friggin’ cool. I miss that band. I like Audioslave but it will be great to hear the old Soundgarden again. Gee, how I miss the 90’s.

TECH MESSIAH is coming

Enough living in the past. It’s a new year. It’s 2010 and I’m moving forward with the production of this album that we’re working on. It’s taking over my every thought. I find myself day dreaming of a post-apocalyptic world that is ruled over by a Tech Messiah (I love the way his initials are TM …. like trademark). I do most of this day dreaming while I’m in the bathroom taking a shower. That’s a good time to daydream….don’t you think.

Yes….. We do have a new track for you. There’s a good likelyhood I’ve posted this before under a different name but this time round I’m calling it Snicker Snee. “Why Snicker Snee?” you ask. Well, I’ve been reading a couple of comic book series called RETURN TO WONDERLAND and BEYOND WONDERLAND (published by Zenescope Entertainment).

These comics are great and if you like the thought of WONDERLAND being a nightmarish and murderous place then this is the comic for you. So, you see, Snicker Snee is a derivative of Snicker Snack which I’m sure you know was a word used in the JABBERWOCKY poem by Lewis Carroll. Carroll is also known for  ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND which these comics are based on. Just what the hell was Lewis smoking when he wrote this stuff. What a freak.

And now – on with the show. Here’s the newest leak from deep within the walls of Aromatone Studios I give you the latest updated track from the recording of the TECH MESSIAH album.

Wow, what an exciting blog… and there’s more to come. Sarah Star has a great track bubbling up in the background. Can’t wait to hear the finished product.

I hope everyone is enjoying their new years day. Love you all and I wish everyone the best.

FatAss WiFi American Nation – Poetry Slams – Randomness

by on Sep.13, 2009, under BOOKS, MUSIC, POLITICS, TECH MESSIAH

Sitting in bed – in the bedroom – with the lights off – the air conditioner on full blast – it’s a rainy day outside – I’m listening to Imogen Heap’s new album “Ellipse” —–and as far as I’m concerned — this is what makes life worth living. I love how technology allows me to access any album I want to hear from any computer in my house via the wonders of WI-FI. I hereby thank my fore fathers (and mothers…no one ever says anything about the fore mothers) for allowing me to live a life of such excess. It’s good to be a fat lazy american. I appreciate the life god has given me and I don’t thank him nearly enough for the blessings he bestows on me.

I like to listen to another artists work before I begin to work on music. I find it gives me a sense of direction. I’m not exactly sure where this Imogen Heap album is directing me but I’m really thrilled that I heard her say LEGOLAND EMPIRES just now in the lyrics of the song “EARTH” track 4. Ah, I want to build my own LEGOLAND EMPIRE. I want to hide away there and just play with legos all day long.

I’m finding it very hard to let go of my recluse lifestyle. I like shutting myself off from the rest of the world for long periods of time. It allows me time to find myself again. However, I’m pretty sure I found myself a long time ago. I just don’t want to leave the safety of the fold. I did go out recently though. I attended a poetry slam with newest Euphonic Dissonance band mate Sarah Star. Quite a delightful scene they have going at the Agora coffee house. What a incredible outpouring of angry – jagged poetry. It was like an emotional roller coaster ride through my soul. Being a musician and a lyricist I have always been fascinated with the design and execution of poetry. This should be no surprise – I did start reading Shakespeare about the same time I hit puberty. Good lord I was a messed up child. Now I’m a messed up adult. Why is it the world continues to change but I remain the same. I suspect the squids have something to do with it.

Meanwhile at the Agora coffee house….. an honorable mention goes out to poets Seth Walker and Claire Collins. Wow, way to rock the house with some amazing use of the english language.

Seth Walker delivers a message that you just can’t ignore even if you don’t necessarily agree with it.

Somehow I seriously doubt he gives a sh*t if you don’t agree with it. I respect that. His delivery is that of a good novel ….. here in lies that emotional rollercoaster ride I mentioned earlier. I almost cried when he read the open letter to his little brother who was thinking of joining the Navy. By the by ….. Seth ain’t too cool with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and he definitely makes that clear. He’s traveling across are great nation with a message for every american and near as I can tell one of those messages is “WAKE THE FU*K UP YOU DUMB ASS LAZY AMERICANS AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE SH*T THAT IS GOING DOWN AROUND YOU”. That part of the message I agree with. Check him out at SETHWALKERPOETRY.COM

Now I have to throw a shout out to the poet that invited us to this event. CLAIRE MOTHERFU*KIN’ COLLINS is a phenomenal poet that has a delivery that resembles that of a chainsaw buried into your skull. You can tell that she has a message and she’ll tear right through you to deliver it.

Hmmm, she seems subdued in that video clip. You’re truly missing out. You need to go see her live.

Well, I suppose it’s about time I did something productive. Time to take all these influences and put them to work on creations of the Euphonic Dissonance kind. If you’re lucky you might hear from me later today with more musical creations from the musical group known as ED. Love you all.
