Could this BASE be the cause of this zombie outbreak? What do they know that they aren’t telling us? To find out – CLICK HERE to witness the development of this New and Exciting First Person Shooter Zombie Kill Fest!

I Shall Remain logo

OVERVIEW
Infection, and self-replication. The two ambitions of a virus that removed the very idea of safety from violence from the human experience. Each force of resistance it encountered was devoured. As the infection spread to the very last bastion of civilization, the people who faced certain infection carefully carved their stories into the cement walls of the desolate buildings around them. Proof that they once existed. But then, there were cries to push on. A handful of men and women the nation once sent away and baptized in the horrors of world war stand tall. They urge the fight to continue on. Is this madness, or will this be our salvation?

CLICK HERE if you don’t see a Kick Ass Zombie Video Game demo above.

Gameplay
I Shall Remain is a bird’s eye view RPG that allows you to control the journey of a Marine who has awoken in a city infected by the Z0M-31 virus. Memory impairing head trauma requires him to slowly relearn who he was. When he comes to and realizes who he is, his peers are more convinced that people like him are man’s greatest weapon against certain extinction. Navigate the Marine through the city, organize teams of survivors and equip them to fight, plow through the crowds of zombies with lead, vehicles and explosives. The careful and calculated execution of this just might allow you to survive.

It was great fun working with the team behind I Shall Remain and we have no doubt this video game is going to be amazing.

Defend Your Internet Rights

by on Oct.03, 2011, under MOVIES | TELEVISION, MUSIC, POLITICS

The government (conspiring with big business) are constantly plotting ways to control the free enterprise of the internet and Euphonic Dissonance will be there to fight them every step of the way. We enjoy the ability to bring you new music downloads and it would be a shame if government restrictions kept us from continuing this. There is strength in numbers and we need your help to fight the good fight. Corporate hardliners in the Senate are rushing to push through a measure to give phone and cable companies absolute, unrestricted power over the Internet.

net neutrality threatened

Called a “resolution of disapproval,” this measure would destroy all existing Net Neutrality protections and strip the FCC of its authority to protect Internet users – letting companies block our right to speak freely, connect with one another and share information on the Internet. If we can get just 51 votes in the Senate it will stop this free speech-killing measure in its tracks. We’re asking you to take action now to stand up for online freedom by letting your senators know you don’t support S.J. Resolution 6. The resolution would enable phone and cable giants like Comcast and Verizon to restrict access to competitive video services, mobile applications and other innovative services.

We love the ability to bring our fans new songs for download and we hope to provide you with more video in the future but actions by our government threaten our chances of providing you with all that great stuff.

Enter The Tech Messiah – Origin Story

by on Feb.23, 2011, under MOVIES | TELEVISION, MUSIC, POLITICS, RELIGION, TECH MESSIAH, UPDATES

More and more I see religion being used as a method to control an agenda. It’s always been a tool used by people to control the masses but lately it has become far more prominent a tool than I can remember in my lifetime. In the past the prominence of religious control always seems to go hand in hand with great religious abuses of power and I wonder if it is possible to have religion holding great power in a society and still have that power act in a responsible and ethical way. – from article USING RELIGION TO CONTROL OTHERS

Brian of Euphonic Dissonance here with the TECH MESSIAH ORIGIN STORY. We’ve posted this on some of the webpages but thought it might be nice to include it here in the blog. Enjoy our future apocalypse tale of a society willingly controlled by their own technology.

ENTER THE TECH MESSIAH

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face – forever. – George Orwell – 1984

Brian Copeland and Sarah Star are working hard to bring their post apocalyptic world of the TECH MESSIAH to life on stages across America. A vision of a society that freely gives itself over to control by technology. THE WORSHIP OF TECHNOLOGY! A lesson in control and slavery. A warning about the power of religion. The TECH MESSIAH will soon come to life and evolve before your eyes. We welcome you to join us as we create the realm of the TECH MESSIAH.

TECH MESSIAH ORIGINS STORY

The TECH MESSIAH concept was introduced to us by our friend Brad Jennings. He introduced the idea of people worshiping or praying to their electronic devices (pda, mp3 player, iPhone, etc).

Brian tells us what happened next: “I couldn’t stop dwelling on the conversation. So many of us run to buy the newest devices when they are released (Apple iPhone for example). We might even get a little angry if we don’t get exactly what we want when we want it. We might take time out of our busy day to spend an allotted amount of time with our favorite electronic gadget. We admire the device as we push the buttons and tweak the knobs. Is this our ELECTRONIC HOUR OF PRAYER? Could this be a form of worship and is it possible that people would want to be controlled if they were kept happy and content with NEW TIME SAVING DEVICES – MORE MIND WASTING ACTIVITIES? Is it possible it’s already happening and we’re currently being controlled?

Now, combine that with every apocalypse movie I’ve ever seen (which is like all of them!!!) and we have the TECH MESSIAH PROJECT. A futuristic world that is already controlled by SOLID STATE RELIGION. Messages of control beamed over radio and drilled directly into minds. You’re willing to risk a BRAIN TUMOR using your cell phone every single day – who’s to say you wouldn’t give over control of your life to TECHNOLOGY YOU KNOW AND TRUST.”

sony,KNOW AND TRUST,samsung,KNOW AND TRUST,hewlett-packard,KNOW AND TRUST,hitachi,KNOW AND TRUST,ibm,KNOW AND TRUST,nokia,KNOW AND TRUST,dell,KNOW AND TRUST,microsoft,KNOW AND TRUST,nec,KNOW AND TRUST,canon,KNOW AND TRUST,apple,KNOW AND TRUST,cisco,KNOW AND TRUST,intel,KNOW AND TRUST,motorola,KNOW AND TRUST,accenture,KNOW AND TRUST,oracle,KNOW AND TRUST,google.

EXCERPT FROM TECH MESSIAH

How much time do you devote in your day to prayer unto your false gods? You cannot lie to us. Do not say that you would never do such things. We’ve been watching you. You spend hours worshipping your computer. You decorate your facebook to appease vanity. You seek solace in your cell phone. You take pride in your car. You boast about the size of your television. You wear your thumb drive like jewelry – on a necklace for all to see. You are accused of being a follower of the TECH MESSIAH. You are accused of telling others of this false religion. Don’t try to deny the accusations. Is it not you that preaches almost daily to your friends and family on the benefits of owning an Apple? Was it not you that texted your entire friend list letting them know when you bought the new cell phone? Did you not invite your buddies over to watch the Super Bowl when Best Buy delivered your plasma television? You infect everyone you come in contact with. You fill their heads with dreams of heaven on earth. Salvation at the touch of a button. The washing away of all sin beeming forth from a sequence of lights and glowing bulbs.

Winner of the Ministry – Psalm 69 Remake Contest is ….

by on Feb.01, 2011, under MOVIES | TELEVISION, MUSIC, RELIGION, TECH MESSIAH, UPDATES

Brian of Euphonic Dissonance with news on the results of the Ministry|Tunecore|Fix – Remake Psalm 69 Contest ….

The winners for the Ministry|Tunecore|Fix – Remake Psalm 69 Contest have been announced and sorry to say it’s not Euphonic Dissonance. Yeah, I know –  bummer huh? It’s okay though. We were so excited to be able to work on the music of this impressive industrial rock band. Ministry defines industrial rock and we can’t wait to see the new documentary movie when it comes out in theaters.

69 Psalmpled | Voltergeist

So who won? The prize – be featured on Fix: The Ministry Movie soundtrack  — goes to  — BOTH Deadly Apples from Canada and Voltergeist from Scotland. Wow, we only expected one band to win but they throw us this crazy curveball. Two bands will be featured on the album. Voltergeist’s take on the song is titled 69 Psalmpled. This half-time dub stomper will lull you off into a world where the sheeple happily accept their fate. It’s quite an entrancingly dark track. Great work Voltergeist.

Unfortunately, at the time of posting this blog – I’ve been unable to find Deadly Apples version of the song anywhere on the internet. Please leave a comment if you know the location of their song.

Don’t fret Euphonic Dissonance fans – the life of our version of the song is far from over. I felt rushed in creating the mix of this song because we waited until the last minute and were up against a deadline. I think the song can be vastly improved and maybe included on the upcoming Tech Messiah album. Wouldn’t that be cool? Or perhaps re-released when the FIX movie comes out. Also cool. Who knows what will happen but you can expect to hear this song again and it will improve. Psalm 69 – ReWired Sheep may still find a higher place in the progressive industrial works of Euphonic Dissonance. Stay tuned.

UPDATE: Feb15, 2011 – Tunecore has posted a blog on the winners and there is a link to the Deadly Apples version of the song there. CLICK HERE to check it out.

THE WALKING DEAD – can’t turn away from this apocalypse drama

by on Dec.03, 2010, under APOCALYPTIC SPEW, MOVIES | TELEVISION, MUSIC, TECH MESSIAH, UPDATES

Brian of Euphonic Dissonance rambles on about one of his favorite subjects – ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.

Zombies have finally reached our television in the form of an amazing series. With the creation of AMC’s -THE WALKING DEAD we now get to see how insane people can really become in the event of zombie attack and the subsequent end of the world. Yeah, the show is a bit like a soap opera (Dark Shadows with zombies instead of vampires) but the catch with this soap opera – everyone dies!!! And yeah, they do come back from the dead – just like in soap operas – but in this instance they’re frikkin’ zombies and they want to feast on your succulent flesh.

Just a quick aside – in reference to Dark Shadows – I hear that Tim Burton is working on a Dark Shadows Movie. This movie is going to be amazing and that’s why I should probably keep this short and just write about it in a separate blog. More on that later. Subscribe to our blog to keep up with stuff.

The Walking Dead gives us an inside look at the breakdown in social order that would occur if the world was overcome by zombie infestation. Fans of the old school George Romero style of slow-ass moving zombies will love this show. No tweaker zombies in this piece. Those things freak me out. It’s much easier to shoot the slow zombies and I won’t spill my drink while I’m doing it.

Recently Frank Darabont the producer/director of this great new series fired the entire writing staff. They’re going into the second season with plans to assign scripts to freelancers. Seems this worked for the British show Torchwood. Well Frank – I hate to point this out to you but this is frikkin’ AMERICA and your on a station who’s acronym means American Movie Classics. Hearing this – I can’t help but be worried for the future of this show.

We’re working on a zombie inspired song that is as of yet untitled but we’re going to give you a little taste with this rough draft of the lyrics. Enjoy.

Zombie Song – rough draft lyrics with tentative title

© 2010 – Euphonic Dissonance / Aromatone Records

Verse 1

A pattern of unusual illness
The news warned us
No one listened
A communicable disease they said
Person to person they said
Fluid – skin – inhalation they said
Symptoms within then minutes
We’ve gotta get out of here
Full infestation in fifteen
Gotta get out of here
Spread of contamination
Rise in investigation
Fever, fatigue, cough, chest pain
Then you change
It’s happening everywhere
A nationwide scare
Bioelectric robotic microsurgery
Nano-machines in living cells
And I don’t want to change
Don’t want to be one of those things

Verse 2

Pack food, water, supplies
They run fast
Gotta keep it light
Only the things we need to survive
Flashlight, first aid kit, army knife
Lots of guns and ammo
Maybe steal us a sweet ride
Batteries and hand crank radio
Gotta stay alive
Mostly travel at night
Sneak around
Stay out of sight
We should have seen this coming
Should have seen the signs
Many gave themselves freely
To be redesigned
With promises of better lifestyle
Better health
Better living
We took it all in stride
Now we struggle to survive
Civilization takes a dive
Afraid I’m losing my mind
They try to get in from the outside
Move to higher ground
Find a place to hide
Hermetical seal
Board up the windows
Lock ourselves inside
Synthetic technology
Reprogram your thinking
Oh babe, I don’t want to change
Don’t want to be one of those things

Hook

Dance
I’m on fire
And this city will burn

Well, hope you like that rough draft of our new zombie song lyrics. Gotta work on a third verse for this song soon. Here’s the track it will be associated with…

CLICK HERE to hear Euphonic Dissonance’s new ZOMBIE SONG – rough draft and tentative title

Well, that’s all for now. So what do you think? Is THE WALKING DEAD  the best zombie series ever or do you think we should put an axe into it’s head and put it down permanently?

Euphonic Dissonance re-imagines Ministry’s Psalm 69 Part 3

by on Dec.03, 2010, under MOVIES | TELEVISION, MUSIC, RELIGION, UPDATES

Brian hits us with an update on the remake of Ministry’s song “Psalm 69” performed by Euphonic Dissonance.

We’re making good progress and should definitely be able to make the contest deadline at the end of December. Some of the other songs have been put to the side until this little gem is finished. We’re working on a deadline, sorry, other stuff will have to wait. We’ll be entering this song into the Tunecore.com contest. Winner will be featured on the upcoming soundtrack for the movie FIX (a documentary on Ministry).

The track is truly starting to take form. Now you’ll be listening to an entire song rather than just half of a song faded after the bridge. Isn’t that exciting? Okay, settle down. Here’s the song.

CLICK HERE to hear Ministry Remake PSALM 69 Draft 3

Yeah, we had some down time due to the holidays – god bless us everyone – but as you can hear we are right back at it and recording some great stuff. I gotta say – it’s been a real pleasure to play guitar alongside a bass playing legend such as Paul Barker.

Don’t know about you guys but we are really looking forward to seeing this movie. Subscribe to our blog so you can read the next installment and hear all the new things we’ve added to this amazing new song featuring original samples of Ministry’s PSALM 69.

Euphonic Dissonance re-imagines Ministry’s Psalm 69

by on Nov.22, 2010, under MOVIES | TELEVISION, MUSIC, UPDATES

Great news. Euphonic Dissonance will be working on a re-thinking of Ministry’s song “Psalm 69”. We’re going to be submitting our little tidbit into this fine contest put together by Tunecore and Ministry. We are so frikkin’ pumped about this.

Paul Barker (bass guitarist, producer and engineer for Ministry) is providing bass tracks and all the samples for producing the song. He’ll also be judging the contest. Our stuff is going to be heard by one of the founding members of Ministry whether we win or not – again folks – THIS IS HUGE!!!! If we win the contest our song will be included on the companion album to the film.

Here is the original song and corresponding video.

If video not displayed – CLICK HERE to hear Ministry’s PSALM 69

So here is a sample of the track that we are currently working on for the contest. It’s very rough but should give you a feel for where this is going.

CLICK HERE TO HEAR – Euphonic Dissonance / Ministry Remake Psalm 69 – rough draft 1

Sorry about that chaotic ending to the song. If you actually made it to the end there is a chaotic little mistake that’s quite loud and abrasive. Well, that’s all for now. I imagine you’ll hear more on our progress very soon. So, Ministry fans – what’s your favorite Ministry song?

The Admiral Twin Drive-In Theater in Tulsa, Oklahoma burns and TMZ gets the story

by on Sep.11, 2010, under MOVIES | TELEVISION, RELIGION

Brian of Euphonic Dissonance gives us news on the loss of the historic ADMIRAL TWIN DRIVE-IN in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

TMZ gave the Admiral Twin Drive-In the press attention it needed after fire destroyed this historic landmark where the 1983 movie THE OUTSIDERS (starring Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio, and Diane Lane) was filmed. Okay, it was really TMZ.com – but that’s still amazing. This may be the best publicity this old theater gets – so make sure you go to the blog and post a comment showing your support for the Historic Admiral Twin Drive-In. Here’s the blog entry…

Movie Theater Playing ‘Last Exorcism’ Burns Down

A drive-in movie theater in Oklahoma burned down yesterday — was it arson, a freak accident or the work of … the devil?

See, this Tulsa landmark — The Admiral Twin, which opened in 1951 — was playing “The Last Exorcism.” It was also playing “Predators,” but those aren’t real — so we can rule them out as a suspect.

Bill French, Tulsa Fire Department public information officer, told the Tulsa World on Friday night that investigators were still not sure how the blaze started.

TMZ contacted the Tulsa Fire Department to see if they suspected a demon, someone possessed by a demon or even Satan himself had something to do with the blaze.

So far, no response.
©TMZ Productions, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

There are several comments on said blog from NATIVE TULSANS who seem to be upset that TMZ would poke fun at such a tragic situation. HELLO PEOPLE – it’s TMZ for god’s sake!!!??? That’s what they do!!! They make fun of stuff. Try to use the blog for something positive you nimrods!!! If you’re so upset about your precious tulsa landmark burning to the ground then you had better post a link where people can go to help save this much missed landmark. Something like this…

DONATE TO REBUILD THE ADMIRAL TWIN ON PAYPAL

or …. if you’re in tulsa and want to hear some live and help the devastated drive-in – then you should go to this. Click the pic for a full size flyer.

Keep up the great work TMZ. It may have been a tragic event for those of us that live here but I’ve got to admit – your blog was very funny. Just keep doing what you do best. Tulsa will heal with time.
